You Belong to God:

(1 Corinthians 6:18–20) — “Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body… For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

Church, Paul didn’t say “fight” fornication — he said “flee!” That means don’t debate with it, don’t negotiate with it, don’t flirt with it; run from it! When temptation knocks, don’t stand at the door trying to reason; run in the opposite direction! See, some sins you can resist, but this one, you must escape. Why? Because it’s not just what happens to your body; it’s what happens in your body! Fornication doesn’t just stain your reputation; it damages the very temple God made for His Spirit to dwell in!

Paul said, “Every sin that a man doeth is without the body, but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.”... That means this one hits different, saints. It’s not just disobedience — it’s defilement. God made your body to be a vessel of His glory, not a playground for sin. When you give yourself to sexual immorality, you’re taking what belongs to God and handing it to the world. But oh, when you keep yourself pure — when you say, “Lord, my body is Yours!” — the glory of God rests upon you, and the Spirit within you rejoices!

Listen, y'all — you don’t belong to yourself! Paul said, “Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” ...You didn’t buy yourself, you didn’t save yourself, and you didn’t fill yourself — God did! That means your body isn’t for temporary pleasure; it’s for eternal purpose. The Holy Spirit doesn’t live in a rental; He lives in a temple! You were designed for worship, not wickedness; for holiness, not heaviness.

Paul said, “For ye are bought with a price.” You didn’t come cheap! Your redemption cost heaven’s best! The blood of Jesus paid your full price. Every drop that fell from Calvary declared, “They belong to Me!” So when temptation tries to tell you otherwise, remind yourself — “I’m not for sale!” The world can’t afford me. The devil can’t deceive me. My worth was sealed at the cross! Glory to God!

So Paul closes the message with this divine command: “Therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” ...That means live holy, not just in word, but in walk. Purity is worship. Obedience is praise. When you keep your life consecrated, you’re saying to the world, “I’m a temple, not a toy. I’m set apart for God’s glory!”

Saints, it’s time to reclaim our identity; to remember who we are and whose we are! You’ve been bought, sealed, and sanctified. Your body is not a burden; it’s a sanctuary. So honor God with what you say, with what you see, and with what you do, because when the Holy Ghost lives inside you, your life becomes living proof that you belong to God!
