Saints of God, the word today is going to shake your spirit and protect your destiny! The Bible says in (2 Corinthians 6:14–18) “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”
That’s not just advice, y'all; that’s a command from the throne of Heaven! God is saying, “Stop connecting your life, your heart, your calling, and your spirit to people who don’t walk with Me!” Because if they don’t serve your God, they can’t share your path! Listen — being “unequally yoked” means being tied to someone or something that doesn’t pull in the same spiritual direction. You can’t move forward in faith if your partner, your friend, your circle, or your commitment is pulling backward in unbelief!
(Amos 3:3) asks the question, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” The answer is simple — No! You’ll be stuck spinning in circles, worn down by the weight of someone who refuses to move with God! God warned His people about this all the way back in (Deuteronomy 7:3–4) — “Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son. 4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the Lord be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.” ...See, it’s not just about the yoke; it’s about the direction! The wrong connection will pull your heart off course, your focus off Jesus, and your peace out of alignment!
(Nehemiah 13:23–27) tells us that Nehemiah rebuked Israel for marrying foreign wives who led them away from the Lord. He said, “Shall we do all this great evil?” My God! Even Solomon; the wisest man who ever lived, was destroyed by unequal yokes! Oh, Church, wisdom won’t protect you if disobedience ties you to sin!
(Ephesians 5:11) says, “Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” ...Don’t sit in comfort with compromise; stand in light with conviction! You can love people without linking your purpose to their path. You can show compassion without sharing their chains.
The Lord said in (Leviticus 20:26), “I have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.” ...You are not common; you are chosen! You are not ordinary; you are holy! The anointing on your life demands separation from anything that dims your light or drains your fire!
(James 4:4) declares, “Friendship with the world is enmity with God.” ...Listen — you can’t hold hands with the world and still claim to walk with Jesus! You can’t sing praises on Sunday and dance with compromise on Monday! God said, “Come out from among them, and be ye separate!” Glory! — this isn’t about isolation, it’s about sanctification! (Romans 12:2) says, “Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.” ...When your mind is renewed, your relationships get reviewed! Because not everyone who starts with you is meant to stay yoked with you! Light and darkness don’t mix — never have, never will.
(Colossians 1:13) says, “He hath delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” ...So why go back to what God brought you out of? Why return to the shadows when He called you to shine?
(Revelation 18:4) says, “Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins.” That’s Heaven’s call tonight;“ — Come out!” Come out of ungodly alliances! Come out of carnal relationships! Come out of emotional ties that kill your spiritual life! Because Church, you can’t soar like an eagle if you’re yoked to a buzzard! You can’t run for God if you’re dragging dead weight! Break the yoke! Tear the tie! Walk in the freedom of holiness and the power of divine separation!
Are you breaking every unequal yoke?” Are you walking in the light?” “Are you staying connected to Christ?” Because the same God who said, “Be ye separate,” also said, “I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you.” ...When you come out of what’s wrong, you walk into what’s holy; and when you walk with the Holy, you walk in victory, peace, and power! Glory to God!
