Delight Yourself In the Lord:

Church, I want you to open your hearts, because the Word of God in (Psalm 37:4–5) says: “Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” Somebody needs to hear this today — this is not just poetry, this is a divine instruction for power, provision, and purpose! When you learn to delight in God, when you commit your way to Him, and when you trust Him, the supernatural begins to happen in your life! David tells us in (Psalm 1:2), “But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” ...In other words, you’re thinking about God’s Word morning, noon, and night. It means your joy comes from Him, not from the world!

And the psalmist continues in (Psalm 40:8)  ...“I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.” When you delight in God, you start to love what He loves. You start to obey without complaining. You start to walk in alignment with His will, and oh Church, alignment brings blessings!

Listen, y'all - (John 15:7) says; ...“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” That’s not just wishful thinking; that’s divine promise. When your delight is in the Lord, your desires line up with heaven’s desires, and your prayers become irresistible to God! Even (Isaiah 58:14) declares, ...“Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth…” Glory to God! When you delight in Him, He lifts you above your problems, above your struggles, and above the ordinary!

Delight alone isn’t enough — you’ve got to commit your way. (Proverbs 16:3) says, ...“Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.” ...You see, it’s one thing to dream, but if you don’t roll it over to God, you’ll stay stuck! (Psalm 55:22) reminds us, “Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” And Peter echoes it in (1 Peter 5:7)... “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” ...Church, when you commit it, you stop carrying it yourself. You let heaven take over!

(Psalm 37:4–5) says; “Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” ...Listen — The psalmist says, “Delight thyself also in the Lord.” In other words, make God your joy, your satisfaction, your heart’s desire! Don’t chase after fleeting pleasures, temporary things, or worldly success. True fulfillment comes when your heart finds its delight in God’s presence, His Word, and His will. When you take pleasure in Him, your spirit begins to sing and He begins to shape your desires!

(Proverbs 3:5–6) declares: “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Somebody needs to hear this: trust is what makes the promise move from paper to reality! (Isaiah 26:3–4) says, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Your peace is guaranteed when your trust is in Him! (Jeremiah 17:7–8) says, “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.” And (Psalm 62:8) reminds us, “Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us.” Do you believe that God is your refuge?

Here’s the punchline, y'all; if you delight, commit, and trust, God doesn’t just maybe answer — He shall bring it to pass! Your dream, your breakthrough, your blessing, your destiny; heaven itself will move on your behalf! So I’m calling somebody to lift their hands and declare it out loud: “Lord, I delight in You!” “Lord, I commit my way to You!” “Lord, I trust You fully!” And watch the Word work in your life, because when you align your heart with God, He aligns heaven to answer! Glory to God!
