Transformed by the Renewing of Your Mind:

(Romans 12:2) — “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Listen — Paul says, “Be not conformed to this world.” That’s a command! The world is always trying to shape you; your thoughts, your choices, your lifestyle. It wants you to think its way, live its way, act its way. But God is saying, “Don’t let it happen!” Resist the pressures, the trends, the temptations. Stand firm in His truth! Glory to God!

Next, Paul says, “Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.” ...Listen carefully, saints — transformation starts on the inside. It’s a spiritual process. Your mind, your way of thinking, must be renewed. That happens through prayer, reading God’s Word, and yielding to the Holy Spirit. Your thoughts, your attitudes, your perception, all start aligning with God. The inside changes first, and the outside naturally follows.

The Christian life is not about pretending or conforming outwardly — it’s about inward change. When your mind is renewed, your behavior will reflect Christ. You will bear the fruits of righteousness, humility, and love. Your priorities shift. Your desires align with God’s. Your character becomes a testimony of His power. That’s living from the inside out, saints!

And why do we need this renewal? Paul says, “…that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” When your mind is renewed, you can discern God’s will; what pleases Him, what aligns with His purpose for your life. Walking in His will brings clarity, peace, and fulfillment that the world cannot touch. 

Finally, church, remember this: the world wants you to blend in, but God calls you to stand out. Be a living testimony of His transforming power. Let Him renew your mind, reshape your heart, and guide your life so that you reflect His glory in everything you do. Are you being transformed by God's Spirit?
