Transformed by the Renewing of Your Mind:

Brothers and sisters, I came to tell you tonight that God doesn’t want a conformed mind. He wants a transformed mind! Paul said in (Romans 12:2), “Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind!” ...Oh, glory! That word conformed means to be shaped, molded, influenced by the systems and standards of this present world. But transformation—ah, that’s when heaven starts working on the inside and changing what’s coming out of you!  See, the world wants to press you into its mold; make you think like it, act like it, and live like it. But when you’ve been born again, something inside of you refuses to fit into that old pattern! Paul told the (Ephesians 4:23-24), “Be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” In other words, take off the old, and put on the new! You can’t walk in newness with an old mindset!

Oh, but that’s not all! Over in (Colossians 3:10), Paul says, “Put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him.” That means your mind is being renovated by divine revelation! God is reprogramming your thoughts, rewriting your focus, and restoring your faith. You’re not who you used to be, and your mind don’t think the way it used to think! Glory be to God! Have you been renewed? Listen — If you keep looking unto the Lord, like (2 Corinthians 3:18) declares, “We are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord!” ...Hallelujah! Every time you behold His glory, every time you meditate on His Word, every time you submit to His Spirit; He shifts you from one level of glory to another. You don’t need a makeover; you need a Holy Ghost transformation!

That’s why (1 Peter 1:14-15) says, “Don’t fashion yourselves after your former lusts.” Oh, no! You’ve been called to holiness. You can’t walk in the Spirit and flirt with the world. You can’t say you’ve been changed but keep the same mindset you had in Egypt. You gotta come out — mentally, spiritually, emotionally — come out from among them and be ye separate! But how does this change come?  Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts! (Titus 3:5) says it like this: “By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost.” Lord have mercy! When the Holy Ghost gets a hold of your mind, He cleans out what don’t belong there, He washes out that stinkin’ thinkin’, and He replaces it with the mind of Christ.

And Paul says in (Philippians 2:5), ...“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” Don’t you know that’s the goal? Not just to be better, but to think like Jesus, love like Jesus, forgive like Jesus, and walk like Jesus! So tonight, I came to challenge somebody: stop conforming and start transforming! Don’t let the world tell you who you are. Don’t let social media define your worth. Don’t let sin dictate your direction. Let God renew your mind! Because when your mind changes, your life changes! Look, y'all; we are under construction!” Yes, the old me is gone, and the new me is rising! My thoughts are new, my talk is new, my walk is new, and my mind is made new by the power of the Holy Ghost! Glory be to God!
