The Way Of Escape — Walking in Victory Over Temptation!

Saints of God, I came tonight with a Word that’ll equip your spirit, strengthen your walk, and shut down the devil’s trap! Because temptation is real, but so is your victory in Christ! The Bible declares in (1 Corinthians 10:13), “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape!”

Do you believe There’s always a way out? Oh yes; temptation may come, but it’s not your master. The devil may try, but he’s already defeated! Because God said, “I will not let the temptation be greater than your strength!” Listen — God doesn’t tempt you; He tests you. But the devil tempts you to make you fall. Yet even in the middle of that trap, God says, “I’ve already built the exit!” Glory to God! That’s why (Matthew 6:13) says, “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” Every day we wake up, we ought to pray, “Lord, keep me from the things that’ll keep me from You!” Because every temptation is a test of your focus — will you look at the bait or look for the escape?

And Jesus said in (Matthew 26:41), “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Oh, Church, your spirit’s ready, but your flesh is fragile! That’s why you’ve got to keep your spirit awake through prayer and your flesh under control through surrender! (Proverbs 4:14–15) tells us,   “Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. 15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.” Did you catch that? In other words; Don’t flirt with sin — flee from it! Don’t reason with the serpent; run from the snare! Sometimes the most anointed thing you can do is walk away! (Romans 13:14) says, “Put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh.” In other words; don’t give your weakness a reservation! Don’t prepare the atmosphere for failure. Stay clothed in the armor of Christ; in prayer, in Word, in worship!

(Psalm 119:11) gives the key: “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” When the Word is in your heart, the world can’t get into your head! Let me remind you — Jesus Himself faced temptation! In the wilderness, the devil came three times; “Turn these stones to bread… throw Yourself down… worship me.” But every time, Jesus said, “It is written!” That’s your strategy, Church — don’t argue with the devil; declare the Word!

Listen; (James 1:12 says), “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life.” In other words; every time you resist the devil, you’re storing up a reward in glory! Every “No!” you say to sin is a “Yes!” you say to victory! If you stumble, don’t stay down — (Hebrews 4:15–16) says, “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” In other words; Jesus understands your weakness, and He stands ready to restore you with grace and mercy! Because the goal isn’t just to resist temptation; it’s to walk above it!

(Galatians 5:16) says, “Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” When you’re full of the Spirit, the enemy’s bait loses its flavor! So I came to tell you; you don’t have to fall for the same trap twice! You don’t have to live in guilt and shame! The Lord has given you a way of escape! The Spirit of God in you is stronger than the sin around you! Are you walking in the Spirit? Are you resisting the devil? Are you living in victory? Because when temptation knocks, faith answers and the devil finds nobody home! Glory to God!
