The Joy of the Lord Is Your Strength!

Saints of God, I'm here this very moment to remind you that you don’t have to be weary, you don’t have to be defeated, you don’t have to be discouraged! Because the Word of God says in (Nehemiah 8:10): “…neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”  Oh, glory to God! That’s not a suggestion; that’s a promise!  The joy of the Lord is not just happiness, it is power! It is stamina! It is supernatural strength in your spirit! Is the joy of the Lord your strength? Look at what Nehemiah told the people: “Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared.” He’s saying rejoice, celebrate, and share your blessings! Oh yes, Church — when God blesses you, you don’t hoard it, be ready to share under the direction of the Holy Spirit! That’s how joy multiplies. That’s how strength spreads!

The Psalmist reminds us in (Psalm 28:7), “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth.” Do you hear that? Trust + rejoicing = strength! Your faith produces joy, and that joy becomes your spiritual armor! And don’t forget; even in hard times, (Habakkuk 3:18) says, “Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” Oh, saints, rejoice even when the storm is raging! Rejoice even when your heart is heavy! Why? Because joy in God is independent of circumstances. It is a supernatural gift, a divine weapon that strengthens your soul!

But watch this; Nehemiah didn’t just say rejoice for yourself; he said, “Send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared.” In other words; joy is meant to be shared! (Luke 3:11) commands us: “He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.” Somebody shout, “Share the joy!” When you bless others, your joy expands and your strength multiplies. (Ecclesiastes 3:12–13) says, “…to rejoice, and to do good in his life. And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.” Church, the ability to celebrate, to enjoy God’s provision, is a gift from Heaven! Don’t let the devil steal it from you! And here’s the clincher; the joy of the Lord is your strength.

(Zephaniah 3:17) says, “The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.” Glory! “The Lord is rejoicing over me!” That joy isn’t just a feeling; it is divine energy, supernatural power, and sustaining strength in every trial! Celebrate your victories! Rejoice in God’s goodness! Share your blessings with others! And let the joy of the Lord become your strength! No sorrow, no fear, no worry can overcome you when the Lord Himself is your joy and your power! Stand firm, lift your hands, and declare it out loud: “The joy of the Lord is my strength!” Glory to God!
