Taming the Fire Within:

(Ephesians 4:26–27) — “Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: neither give place to the devil.”

Let me tell y'all something — anger is real! God made us with emotions, but He didn’t make us to be ruled by them. Paul said, “Be ye angry, and sin not.” That means there’s a line between feeling and failing! Anger in itself isn’t sin, but when you let it drive your decisions, when it controls your words and your actions — that’s when it becomes dangerous! Anger can turn sweet saints into bitter vessels if we don’t let the Holy Ghost keep our hearts in check. Don’t let that fire burn out of control; let it be refined by God’s Spirit!

(James 1:19) says, “Let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath.” ...You see, church, unrighteous anger doesn’t come from God; it comes from pride, hurt feelings, and self. The devil loves when you get quick-tempered because he knows that wrath blocks righteousness. When we’re quick to speak and slow to listen, we can’t hear the still, small voice of God. That’s why the Bible says, “The wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.” Some of us are fighting battles that could’ve been won with a soft answer instead of a harsh word!

Paul said, “Neither give place to the devil.” Every time you hold a grudge, you’re giving the devil a chair at your table! When you hold on to bitterness, you open the door to the enemy. Jesus said in (Matthew 5:23–24), “Leave your gift at the altar, and go be reconciled.”... That means God cares more about your heart being right than your hands being lifted. You can’t worship right if you’re still mad at your brother or sister. Release it today; don’t let anger rob you of your peace, y'all!

Now look at Jesus — our perfect example. When He saw sin and corruption in the temple, He turned over the tables, but He never sinned! His anger was righteous; it was controlled by love and guided by truth. (Galatians 5:22–23) says self-control is a fruit of the Spirit... You can’t have the Spirit and be out of control! You can be passionate without being poisonous. You can be bold without being bitter. Let the Spirit rule your emotions, and watch how peace begins to reign in your life.

The Word says in (Colossians 3:13), “Forgive one another, even as Christ forgave you.” ... Somebody needs to let go today! Forgiveness doesn’t make the other person right — it makes you free.

(Proverbs 16:32) says, “He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty.” True strength isn’t in how loud you can yell, it’s in how much you can control yourself! So today, let’s release that anger, forgive those who wronged us, and let the love of Christ rule our hearts. Because when peace moves in, anger has to move out!
