He Didn’t Sin — He Stayed Still!

(Job 1:22; Job 2:10) — “In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.”

Saints, we’re talking about a man named Job — upright, blameless, and God-fearing. He wasn’t halfway saved; he was completely sold out, according to (Job 1:1) which says; "There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil."  In other words, perfect, here means he was blameless and upright; (spiritually mature).

One day, the devil went before God and said, “If you take your hand off of Job, he’ll curse You to Your face." And the Lord said unto Satan in (Job 1:12) Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand; in other words, God was not giving Satan free reign to destroy Job, but rather granting limited permission to test Job’s faith; and oh, the test was fierce! Job lost his children, his wealth, his health, and his friends. Yet the Word declares; “In all this, Job sinned not!” He stayed still!” So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.”

(Job 1:21) says; “The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” ...You can be anointed and still attacked. You can be faithful and still face fire. Don’t mistake trials for punishment; it’s just proof! Job’s pain didn’t prove God left him; it proved that God trusted him. God said, “Have you considered my servant Job?” In other words, “I know what’s in him!” Praise God!

(Job 1:20) says; “Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped.” ...Even in devastation, Job fell to his knees. He didn’t run from God; he ran to God! There’s power in your posture. You can cry and still worship. You can question and still trust. Because true worship isn’t based on what you see, it’s rooted in who He is!

(Job 3:11) says; Job cried out, “Why was I born?”, but he never said, “God, You are wrong.” He vented, but he didn’t rebel. There’s a difference between complaining to God and complaining about God! God didn’t condemn Job’s honesty; He corrected his understanding. When the whirlwind came, Job bowed his head and said, “I have uttered what I understood not.” That’s not rebellion; that’s repentance!

(Job 42:10) says; “And the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends.” ...God didn’t just restore; He multiplied! Double portion, double favor, double glory! You may be in the ashes now, but ashes are the soil where new beginnings grow. Don’t walk away before your double comes! Amen! Listen - when the world shakes, stay still. When the pain burns, stay still. When your name is dragged, stay still! Because the same God who brought Job out is bringing you out! You might be bruised, but you’re still blessed. You might be weary, but you’re still worshiping. And when it’s all said and done, you’ll lift your hands and declare; “I didn’t sin — I stayed still!” Glory be to God!
