A white dove flies near a cross above an open Bible with sunlight shining.

“God Still Blesses!”

Oh Church, hear the word of the Lord! Somebody asks, “If God already knows all things, why would He still bless people with gifts, favor, wisdom, riches, influence, and opportunities?” The answer is because God is still God, and His goodness does not stop because man may choose rebellion!

The Bible says in (James 1:17) “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights…” God gives gifts because giving is in His nature. He is holy, He is merciful, He is gracious, and He is kind!

God blessed Solomon with wisdom. Why? Because wisdom was needed to lead the people. (1 Kings 3:12) says, “Lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart…” God gave him what was needed for the assignment. But later Solomon turned away. Did that make God wrong? No! It revealed Solomon’s heart. Hear me today: A gift can reveal what is already in a man. Trouble reveals some things, but blessing reveals deeper things. Poverty may test you, but prosperity will expose you. Power will expose you. Favor will expose you.

(Deuteronomy 8:18) says; “But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth…” God gives power, but man must remember who gave it! When you forget the Giver and worship the gift, destruction is near. Listen - “Don’t worship the blessing!” God knew Judas Iscariot would betray, yet Judas still had a place among the disciples. God knew David would fail, yet He still anointed him king. God knew Peter would deny Him, yet Jesus still said, “Feed my sheep.” Why? Because God’s foreknowledge does not cancel human responsibility!

(Romans 11:29) says; “For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” God gives callings, but it is man’s duty to walk worthy of them. Listen carefully: If God only blessed perfect people, nobody would be blessed. If God only used flawless vessels, nobody would be used. If God only gave gifts to those who would never stumble, the earth would remain empty! But God, in His mercy, blesses broken people, calls weak people, restores fallen people, and uses imperfect people for His purpose and glory!

Yet hear the warning of the Spirit: blessings can become idols. Money can become chains. Fame can become poison. Wisdom can become pride. Beauty can become vanity. Influence can become corruption. That is why the Bible says in (Proverbs 4:23), “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” ... Listen, Church; “Guard your heart!” God gives gifts not just for enjoyment, but for stewardship. He gives increase so you can glorify Him. He gives wisdom so you can serve others. He gives favor so doors can open for kingdom purpose. He gives strength so you can endure. He gives resources so you can bless.

The question is not, “Why did God give it?” The real question is, “What are you doing with what He gave?” One day every talent, every dollar, every opportunity, every open door, every gift, every anointing will be brought before the throne of God. And I hear the Lord saying today: Use it for My glory. Use it for righteousness. Use it for souls. Use it for truth. Use it before time runs out.

(Luke 12:48) says, “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required…” So if God blessed you, don’t get arrogant. Get humble. If God opened a door, don’t get proud. Get grateful.
If God gave you wisdom, don’t boast. Give Him praise. If God lifted you, don’t forget the pit He brought you from! Lift your hands and shout: “Lord, let my blessing not destroy me! Let my gift not corrupt me!. Let my favor not blind me! Let everything You gave me bring You glory!” In Jesus’ name, Amen... Glory to God!
