“Be Sober, Be Alert: Guard Your Temple!”

Brothers and sisters, I come to tell you today that Satan wants to cloud your mind, dull your senses, and steal your power in Christ! Whether it’s wine, drugs, or any substance that takes control of your mind; the devil doesn’t care what form it comes in. What matters is that it takes you out of the fullness of God’s presence!  You see, when you’re high; whether through marijuana or any other intoxicant, your mind is no longer sharp, alert, and vigilant. And Scripture warns us according to (1 Peter 5:8) to “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour": 

Listen; the devil prowls around, seeking to devour those who are asleep spiritually! He loves it when Christians are clouded in mind, for they cannot discern his schemes. Saints of God, God didn’t make your body to be wasted! He said in (1 Corinthians 6:19–20) “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.”
 

When you allow your mind to be altered, when you allow substances to enslave you, you defile the temple God has given you. Stop giving the devil keys to your temple! Listen; intoxication isn’t just about alcohol — being high is the same! It clouds judgment; It slows your reactions; It weakens your self-control (Ephesians 5:18) says; “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;"  

Do you want to be filled with the Spirit? Do you want clarity, power, and authority over the enemy? Then put away the substances that cloud your mind! Rise up in the glory of God!  Even lawful things, like; food, drink, medication must be done to glorify God, according to (1 Corinthians 10:31).

Brothers and sisters, it’s not just what goes into your body; it’s why you allow it! If it enslaves you, dulls your senses, or removes your focus on God, it is sin. Awake, people of God! Listen; Satan is prowling! Guard Your Temple! Treat your body and mind as holy. Be Filled with the Spirit! Seek God, not substances. Walk in Sobriety! Let your mind be alert to hear God’s voice. Saints, the Spirit is moving! If you’ve been allowing substances to cloud your mind; confess it, repent, and receive the Holy Ghost afresh. 

(James 4:7) says; “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” ...Today, I declare over you: Your mind is clear, your temple is holy, your Spirit is strong, and your enemy has no hold over you! In the mighty name of Jesus! Amen! Glory to God!
