(John 3:16; Romans 10:9–10; John 6:44; Hebrews 13:5; Matthew 6:8; Ephesians 6:18
Church, let me tell you what shook me the other day. I was on one of those social media sites, minding my Godly business and I came across a post that said, “If you want a bigger blessing from God, shout Amen!” And I thought to myself, A bigger blessing? Saints, God owes us nothing but what He’s already promised in His Word! He gave us salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ and that alone is more than enough to shout about!
(John 3:16) and (Romans 10:9–10) remind us that eternal life comes through believing and trusting in Christ as Savior. That’s the greatest blessing you could ever receive — forgiveness, redemption, eternal life! And let’s not forget, Jesus Himself said in (John 6:44) that no one can even come to Him unless the Father draws them. That means even the faith you have to believe is a gift from God!
Some folks treat blessings like lottery tickets; always wanting more, always asking for bigger. But (Matthew 6:8) tells us that “Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.” God knows your needs better than you do! And (Hebrews 13:5) reminds us He’s already given us something better than anything money can buy — His promise: “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Saints, you can’t get a bigger blessing than His presence!
Instead of chasing after bigger blessings, let’s humble ourselves before God’s holy throne and keep praying, as (Ephesians 6:18) says, “with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit.” Pray with persistence, pray with patience, and trust His timing. God answers when He knows it’s right, how He knows it’s best, and for reasons only Heaven understands. His blessings aren’t measured by size; they’re measured by purpose.
So however God chooses to bless me, I shout AMEN! Because I’ve learned His blessings are not about what I’ve earned, but about who He is; a good, faithful, and loving Father. I don’t tell God how big my blessing should be, because I trust that whatever He gives, however He gives it, whenever He gives it; it’ll be perfect! His will is flawless, His timing is right, and His blessings always fit the plan He’s written for your life!
So instead of asking for a bigger blessing, just thank God for the blessing He’s already given you — salvation, grace, mercy, and His everlasting presence. Glory To God! “However God blesses me, I’ll say Amen!” Are you satisfied with what the Lord has provided for you?
